The Electro Sweeper is an efficient speed gate that utilises swing paddles (gates) as its control barrier. These glass paddles are locked in the closed position, but quickly swing open in the direction of travel to allow access or egress.
Allowing the neat installation of access control readers hidden within the top panel, the Electro Sweeper is one of the most popular and cost effective means to create a control point. The LED lighting shows red and green to show the passage status.

As with all turnstiles, it removes the requirement for constant and expensive manning and can track and report on all movements and actions.
The Electro Sweeper combines the highest safety along with high traffic flows (up to 30 persons per minute) in an attractive modern cabinet. The transparent glass side panels reduce the visual impact of the turnstile.

In manual mode the commands are often given from a central reception desk using our dedicated control console. In automatic mode the Sweeper incorporates access control readers which allow independent control at the lane, with override available centrally.
Standard operation allows the Sweeper to fail open when power is lost, or we can add a battery back up to ensure fail closed and locked if required.
Electro Sweepers allow passage in both directions, ensuring that the paddles move in the direction of travel to ensure fast progression. Anti tailgating measures are involved to eliminate follow through.

Materials:
Cabinet: Brushed stainless steel cabinet with a round vertical face. Secured front access panels provide entry for maintenance and storage for controllers if not desk mounted.
Top: XXmm deep top, stainless steel/glass. Integrated and flush windows at either end to house the LED status indicator and provide space for a proximity card reader.
Glass panels: 10mm thick toughened safety glass with polished edges swing into the cabinet.
Operation: Can be open or closed. When in closed mode the lane unlocks and opens upon from a signal sent by an authorised user. The turnstile can be controlled in either a manual or automatic mode. In manual mode, the blades are opened/closed according to the command from a control panel often positioned at a reception desk or a remote position. In the automatic mode, the blades are opened/closed from a signal sent from the access control system. The turnstile blades are opened/closed in 0.8 seconds providing a high traffic flow capacity (up to 30 persons per minute).
Sensors: Flush mounted sensors along the length of the unit provide efficient bi-directional access control to authorised users. If tailgating is attempted the lane will close, the glass blades will illuminate red and an integrated alarm will sound.
Fail safe: In the case of power voltage failure both access directions are free.
